If You Don’t Thinkn Time Warner and SBS Aren’t Shaking In Their Boots, Then You Haven’t Wasted Three Years Working For a Telecommuniation Company

I would love to see this happen in Milwaukee. WiFi is the way things will eventually go and believe me I know how shell shocked my employer Time Warner would be if their broadband service had legitimate competition. $20 bucks vs. the $47.47 I pay monthly—no question WiFi wins. How Time Warner gets away with the underhanded shit they already pull is beyond me and the city of Milwaukee embraces them and their deep pockets when it comes to sponsorship of local events.

This is the part I loved: ” According to Gschwind, the project—which is currently in the planning stage—will help Mayor Tom Barrett achieve one of his goals.
“The mayor’s major objective is to get the benefits of broadband to low income populations.”
Those words show the immense naivety of public officials. Clearly they have never had a 500 lb. resident on 2nd and North telling him he’s a “Mother-fucking cock-sucker” who better get fixing her computer because she “Ain’t computer literate” and doesn’t want to learn about anti-virus protection and will have the group of seven thugged-up, bored, and wasted guys watching from her porch kick the shit out of you if it isn’t better than new. And I was put into this situation compliments of Time Warner because we need every customer we can get.

This is the Bill Rep. Sessions is trying to pass to keep the government from getting their toes into the telecom business. Rep. Sessions is a former SBC executive and has received over $120,000 in campaign contributions from the Telecom industry, $44,000 from SBC alone. Can’t see why WiFi might make him nervous.
