Those of us who can’t wait to see Brick will just have to make due with writer/director Rian Johnson tantilizing and teasing us.

Over at Aint It Cool News, Capone had the chance to talk with Johnson late last October.
At Suicide Girls, Rian Johnson discusses the origins of Brick and his desired career path:
“The origin of this whole thing was the novels of Dashiell Hammett. That’s where it all started for me and if you go back and look at his novels it’s got that same humor that you see in a lot of darker stuff like the Coen Brothers, where it’s funny but in the context of the world.”
Also, you really must check out Johnson’s conversation with film critic Elvis Mitchell on KCRW’s The Treatment, which is available in streaming audio and podcasting via ITunes.
